The Torreon/Star Lake Chapter is located in the rural area of the Navajo Nation approximately 72 miles east of Crownpoint and 26 miles southwest of Cuba, New Mexico on HWY. 197.
The Chapter was certified by the Navajo Tribal Council on November 10, 1955. The Diné name for the Community is NaʼNeelzhiin and means – marked area; man-made barricade once used to guide game.
